Family wellness benefits

We offer preventative care benefits to the whole family, including an immunisation programme, to ensure that children’s vaccinations are kept up to date. These vaccinations are payable from the preventative benefits (no cost to you) and do not require members to stand in a long line and be subjected to mass exposure. The immunisation programme includes newborn babies until the last year required for an 18-year-old. Other preventative care benefits include three (3) baby growth and development assessments per year for ages 0 to two years.

Our Tempo wellness programme assists you and your family to lead a healthier lifestyle. The following benefits are available to all members 16 years and older at no additional cost across all benefits options:

• A Health Assessment (HA), which (when completed) unlocks all your other Bestmed Tempo wellness programme benefits. The HA the Tempo lifestyle questionnaire; a blood pressure check, cholesterol check, glucose check, and a height, weight, and circumference check.
• Nutritional Health Journey: x2 consultations with a Tempo partner dietitian.
• Get Active Journey: x2 consultations with a Tempo partner biokineticist.
• Emotional Wellbeing Journey: support services and benefits: access to the educational information, challenges, recordings, videos, and support group details.

The Tempo Nutritional Health, Get Active (Fitness), and Emotional Wellbeing Journeys are all available online via the Member portal on the Bestmed website or on the Bestmed App. This allows your to track your physical, nutritional and emotional wellbeing goals, set challenges and access a wealth of information related to health and wellness.
