To unlock all your free benefits, complete your Health Assessment (HA) at one of the following pharmacies: Dis-Chem, Clicks, Van Heerden or Alpha Pharm. Download the form below under the “Downloads” section.
Your assessment results are analysed and classified as high-, medium- or low-risk. Your individual report will be sent to you via email. The nurse will upload your form onto Tempo’s Wellness portal. Your assessment results and interpretation will be available to view by logging on to the member portal on our website, the Bestmed App, and will be sent to you via e-mail.

The Bestmed Tempo wellness programme is focused on supporting you on your path to improving your health and realising the rewards that come with it. To ensure you achieve this, you will have access to the Bestmed Tempo Health Assessment (previously Health Risk Assessment) for adults (beneficiaries 18 and older) which includes one of each of the following per year per adult beneficiary:

The principal member needs to complete his/her Health Assessment (HA) for the wellness benefits pertaining to children to be unlocked.
Bestmed has partnered with the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) to offer members a 24-hour mental health helpline, with the aim of supporting members who are experiencing mental health issues by managing its effects, providing additional support and improving quality of life.
You will have access to SADAG’s telephone counselling and support services, 24 hours a day via the SMS number 43323, dedicated toll-free helpline +27 (0)80 062 7775 and/or email address (email@example.com).
After providing detailed information to the SADAG counsellor and undergoing the screening process to determine the status of the call or electronic query (SMS/email), the counsellor will provide you with practical advice, referrals, resources and an action plan based on your unique needs.
Referrals to resources include, but are not limited to, support groups, mental health professionals (subject to available benefits), treatment centres and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
You will also have access to SADAG’s online services such as the website, online videos, weekly Facebook expert chats and webinars.
The mental health offering will be available to members from 1 January 2021 and forms part of the Bestmed Tempo wellness programme offered to all registered beneficiaries across the 13 benefit options. Members will not incur any additional costs for utilising these services, except if they consult with a mental health professional on a personal basis and as referred to by the SADAG counsellor.
