A biokineticist is a healthcare professional who specialises in exercise therapy. They focus on improving a person's physical condition and quality of life through movement.
The term "biokinetics" comes from the Greek words "bios," meaning life, and "kinesis," meaning movement. So, it literally refers to the science of movement and physical activity as it relates to health.
Once you’ve completed your annual Tempo Lifestyle Screening, you have access to the following Tempo Physical wellbeing benefits:
1st consultation: You’ll review your current exercise routine and fitness levels to get a baseline reading of where you are. This doesn’t mean you’ll have to run on a treadmill until you pass out. These sessions are not strenuous and are designed to make it comfortable for you at your current physical fitness level.
Then, you’ll set your goals and timelines that suit you. The Tempo partner biokineticist will also help you to overcome any challenges you may have with exercise, including previous injuries before you start. You’ll also get an exercise plan tailored to you.
2nd consultation: You’ll review your progress and make any necessary changes. You can also discuss any challenges you’ve had and get advice on how to overcome them.
