How long have you been at Bestmed?

13years 11 months

What encouraged you to join Bestmed?

The previous company I was employed at had shifts which were till late at night and I had a friend boasting about the family orientated BESTMED and Pieter.

What is the best thing about your job?

  • To see staff excel & grow in what they do and experiencing how the staff give their everything even during the most difficult times
  • To work as a team and their loyalty is mind-blowing.

Give us a short bio about your career history. 

I started as a call centre agent in 2008 then moved to the quality department where I got my certificate in Total Quality Management (TQM). From there I moved to our broker support team and grew into a Team Leader. Through the Bestmed bursary I educated myself further and obtained Degree in Business Admin in 2018. As of 1 January 2022, I was appointed as Client Service: Supervisor and being mentored and coached by Dhiresh (the best). I’ve been in medical aid industry for over 22 years and it’s still a great journey.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself

I am a born again Christian and most do not know that I am a praise and worship leader in my church. I can’t sing but I can lead and worship, just have a servant’s heart. Got my degree when I turned 40. Was a great achievement for me as a single mom. I am also a fairly new car owner and driver

What are your hobbies?

Reading, listening to sermons and music and visiting my family (very family orientated)

What is part of your daily routine that you look forward to every day?  

To see my son after a long workday. (even though we can fight like cat and dog)

What is your favourite motto?

  • I can do anything I set my mind on, only through Christ who strengthens me.
  • Live life to the fullest!
