  1. How long have you been at Bestmed?
I started on 1 July 2020, so almost a full year at Bestmed!
  2. What encouraged you to join Bestmed?
Initially, the drive was a new and exciting employment offer. However, what has kept me at Bestmed are the charitable initiatives for the local communities, the family-orientated environment and prosperous opportunity for growth. Bestmed has really made me feel as though I am part of a team, where my contributions are always justly considered.
  3. What is the best thing about your job?
Going out and meeting with our financial advisors has always been an exciting venture for me, and I thoroughly enjoy our business discussions, as well as the shared personal stories and experiences.
  4. Give us a short bio about your career history.
My career started at Liberty within a broker consulting franchise. This is where my foundation in the industry was built, and I learnt about the importance of excellent customer service and broker relations. The need for a change of scenery then led me to strengthening my foundation and putting myself in the advisors’ shoes by becoming a registered financial planner and wealth manager. This is where I understood the importance of client retention, financial need analysis and providing the correct advice to my clients.
My move to Bestmed allowed me to take this foundation and build a solid home, where I now reside and use my experience to build excellent advisor relations and expand the Personally Yours brand.
  5. Do you have any special or hidden skills?
I have been told that I have a voice for radio, and you might have heard it on TuksFM or other Bestmed advertisements.
  6. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.
During lockdown in 2020, I managed to lose a whopping 17 kilograms. No banana bread for me!
  7. What are your hobbies?
I’m an amateur artist; emphasis on the “amateur.” I also love to play electric guitar from time to time, and I’m an avid gym bunny.
  8. What is something – a food or activity – that you tried reluctantly, and it turns out you like it?
I don’t typically try anything reluctantly. I always tend to jump in head first, especially when it comes to food.
  9. What part of your daily routine do you look forward to every day?
I always look forward to cooking a nutritious meal at the end of the day, followed by an intense gym session.
  10. What is your favourite motto?
Life isn’t picture-perfect. We use the negatives to develop.
