In this edition of the Personally Yours Corner, we include a note from a Bestmed member, who experienced exceptional service that cares.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bestmed and especially Mrs Ina Erasmus and Dr Christo du Preez.

We, as a family, have belonged to Bestmed since 2012 and have always been able to say, it is a very good medical fund and would like to recommend anyone who needs a good medical fund.

My son, now 14 years old, was born with Crouzon syndrome and has had many surgeries. He had to have two surgeries this year, and there were quite a few challenges.

There was a limit on the prostheses that was too little, and (there was) also a limit (for the surgery).

You then called a special panel together, held a meeting to discuss this case.

The decision was to make a concession and pay for everything. Thank you very, very much!
