Bestmed Medical Scheme recently announced its benefit enhancements and contribution increases for 2022. The Scheme is proud to have managed to keep their 2022 contribution increase to 3.9% across all options. This marks the third consecutive year that Bestmed has had no benefit cuts or reductions. Limits and sub-limits increases
All limits and sub-limits were increased by 4.2% across all benefit options. This is the second year that the benefit limit increase exceeds the average price increase for the year.
Child dependants
Good news for parents! Beneficiaries will only pay for the first three child dependants (previously four children). The rest are covered at no additional cost.
Child dependants are also covered until the age of 24 years (previously 21 years) and registered students are covered up to 26 years.
