The term of office for some of the current member-elected Trustees will come to an end at the 2022 Bestmed Annual General Meeting (AGM). Please remember to cast your vote and have your say in electing your preferred Trustees to the Bestmed Board.

Trustees in the following categories will be elected:

1. Individual members (one vacancy in this category)
2. Employee members (one vacancy in this category)
3. Continuation/Retired/Widowed members (one vacancy in this category)

Nomination Process

PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Services (Pty) Ltd (PwC) has been appointed as the Independent Electoral Body (IEB) in respect of the following electoral processes and voting activities.

To nominate your preferred candidate, visit the Bestmed website at www.bestmed.co.za to access the Nomination Letters detailing the Nomination Process, along with the Nomination Form applicable to your membership category. Nomination Forms can also be obtained by contacting the IEB, PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Services (Pty) Ltd (PwC), on 012 429 0505 or email za_bestmedelection2022@pwc.com.

Complete Nomination Forms, together with the required documents as stipulated in the Nomination Letters, must reach the IEB by no later than 12:00 (midday) on Monday, 31 January 2022 via email to za_bestmedelection2022@pwc.com or hand delivered in an envelope clearly marked Bestmed Medical Scheme 2022 Trustee Elections, Attention: Ms Boitumelo Lekoko – Director: Forensic Services to a list of PwC offices available the Bestmed website.

During the December holidays, from 16 December 2021 to 2 January 2022, the PwC offices will be closed and unavailable for hand delivery of Nomination Forms. During this time, you may still submit you’re the forms via the email mentioned above.

Important notes

• No Nomination Forms may be delivered to Bestmed Medical Scheme’s offices. 
• Any Nomination Forms delivered to any person or entity other than the IEB, either by e-mail or hand, will automatically be considered as being invalid and, therefore, disqualified.
• Any election-related queries must be directed to the IEB on 012 429 0505 or email: za_bestmedelection2022@pwc.com. 
• The IEB will be the only party that will respond to any queries related to the nominations and other electoral processes.
• Remember to nominate and vote for trustees in your respective category.
