Whether you are diabetic or just sugar-intake conscious, we’ve got you. Here are some mouth-watering smoothies to take the last sips of summer to.

All these smoothies need is for you to throw the ingredients in a blender, blend them and enjoy .

Chia seed, coconut and spinach smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/4 cup of coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder 
  • 2 ice cubes

Breakfast smoothie

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup uncooked oats (ground in a food processor or a coffee grinder)
  • 2 frozen bananas, chop into small chunks first
  • 3 cups of skimmed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee (optional)

Berrylicious smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 a cup of frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon of goji berries
  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 6 strawberries
  • 10 almonds
  • 1/2 a cup of almond milk

Strawberry banana smoothie

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1/2 a cup of plain yoghurt 
  • 2 packets of stevia 
  • 1/4 small banana
  • 1/2 a cup of fresh/frozen strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon chia seed or ground flaxseed 
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla protein powder 
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pineapple coconut smoothie

Ingredients: 

  • 1/2 a cup of water
  • 1/2 a cup full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 cup of frozen pineapple
  • 1 small piece fresh ginger,1 teaspoon if it’s minced or chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

Cucumber kiwi smoothie

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 cup of cucumber
  • 1 kiwi fruit
  • 1/4 of an avocado
  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter
  • 1/2 a cup of blanched then frozen cauliflower

Orange carrot smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of almond milk
  • 1 orange
  • 1/3 of a cup a grated carrot
  • 1 tablespoon of flax seeds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean powder
  • 1 scoop collagen powder
  • 1/4 of a cup a blanched then frozen cauliflower

Layered watermelon smoothie

Ingredients:

Green layer

  • 1 cup of peeled watermelon 
  • 1 cup of green grapes frozen
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds


Red layer

  • 2 cups of seedless watermelon
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of agave nectar 

Carrot cake smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup of almond milk
  • 1/4 cup of plain non-fat Greek yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon of honey 
    3 medium carrots trimmed, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoon walnuts chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 a frozen banana
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of ice cubes

Paleo fruit smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon of powdered egg whites
  • 1/2 a cup of frozen mango chunks
  • 1 kiwi peeled
  • 1/2 a cup of blueberries
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
