Dear prospective Tempo enthusiast,

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “Depression is a leading cause of disability worldwide and is a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease.” At least 20% of South Africans will experience a form of depression at least once in their lives.

Bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression, is a chronic medical condition. It may have extreme effects on mood, behaviour, energy levels and thoughts.

However, there is help for depression and bipolar disorder through prescribed medicine and psychological counselling.

You are invited to join us for one of two Tempo Talk sessions on Mental Health, where a network psychologist will discuss major depression, bipolar mood disorder and the Tempo Emotional Wellbeing Journey.
